Abel Banko, PA-C

Abel Banko, PA-C, is a certified Physician Assistant who joined the All Star team with a strong commitment to high-quality, individualized care. Prior to beginning his career as a PA, Abel worked within a primary care setting where he gained valuable experience in serving a diverse patient population while developing his passion for seeing the patient as a whole rather than as just their problem.

Abel earned his BS in Biology from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2021 and worked in primary care before earning his MS in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2025. He brings with him a passion for improving patient outcomes through thoughtful, evidence-based treatment and clear communication. Abel was drawn to pain management and regenerative medicine because of its holistic and function-focused philosophy and is excited to help patients feel and live better, not just manage their symptoms.

Outside the clinic, Abel enjoys spending time with his wife of 4 years Honora and staying active in their church community. He also enjoys eating good food, weightlifting, and playing ultimate frisbee.
