Daniel Sheehan, MD specializes in Rehabilitation Medicine with particular interests in spine injuries and chronic pain. After graduating from medical school from Georgetown University, he attended residency training at Harvard Medical School’s Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Special procedures that Dr. Sheehan performs include spine injections with fluoroscopic guidance and regenerative injections such as Platelet Rich Plasma and Stem Cell procedures. After working for a hospital system (Yale New Haven Health), a large pain practice, and an orthopedic office, Dr. Sheehan is very happy to join All Star Pain Management and Regenerative Medicine where providers not only treat symptoms but also cure root causes of pain.

In addition to neck and back pain, Dr. Sheehan also treats joint pain and running injuries from a holistic approach which may include testing hormone, adrenal, and thyroid function. When necessary, he offers testosterone pellet placement, thyroid replacement, and adrenal support strategies. Other techniques to restore healing include modulating the immune system and limiting excess inflammation by treating underlying infections and/or removing toxic senescent cells. The mind and body are linked by neurotransmitters, neuroinflammation, and cell-to-cell signals which, when improved, can maximize function and re-set a cycle of healing.

Dr. Sheehan has successfully treated thousands of patients who are now pain-free and able to return to work, sports, and family vacations. Ultimately, Dr. Sheehan’s pragmatic approach toward fast and lasting recovery is cost-effective.

Outside of work, Dr. Sheehan enjoys running and coaching. He has qualified for and run both the Boston Marathon and the Western States 100 mile Endurance Run. When he’s not running trails or hiking with his dog, Dr. Sheehan enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
